Spout & Aurora Team Up For E-Sports Content
E-Sports content levels up with innovative regional partnership.
The fastest growing E-entertainment company in Southeast Asia joins forces with one of Southeast Asia’s leading media and entertainment asset incubation, investment and management specialists to form an e-sports super squad.
Spout Entertainment Group, the millennial-centric media behemoth behind E-Sports Media Portal Spout360, E-Sports Stadium SpoutArena, E-Learning Portal Cite Education, and Myanmar-focused E-Lifestyle Platform SpoutNow, have inked a partnership with Aurora Media Holdings to produce and distribute multi-platform sports reality competition formats and a movie franchise based around the global phenomenon of E-Sports. The collaboration aims to unite the region’s top E-Sports influencers and brands with exciting, new content creation models.
“This E-Sports reality series and movie franchise will be able to leverage upon Spout’s combined base of 30 million unique global visitors across all media subsidiaries and we will be looking to further expand our reach via Aurora’s strong international distribution networks through television, theatrical, and digital,” explains Daryl Teo, Spout’s Founder and CEO, on what motivated him to enter into the unique partnership.
Game To Fame: Road To World Cup (8 x 30’) is the first project to be launched in the multi-series television and digital franchise slate. It focuses on Electronic Arts’ FIFA Online football game, with contestants vying for professional gaming contracts with top teams in a competitive, drama-filled reality format that endeavors to bring E-Sports into a more mainstream audience by including real-time streaming interactions with fans and influencers. Game To Fame: Road To World Cup aims to discover the next gaming legend in the world of E-Sports.
Subsequent Game To Fame series will feature Riot Games’ League Of Legends “LoL,” Valve’s Defense of the Ancients, “DotA,” and Counter-Strike “CS:GO.” Worldwide casting for the first season of Game To Fame begins on 19 August, 2017 through Spout’s popular content platform – Spout360.com and firstname.lastname@example.org – with production slated to kick off in Q4 of 2017.
Next to follow is a feature film franchise slated for global distribution, currently being fast-tracked in development and will bring together top gaming professionals, within and outside Asia, as well as international publishers. Both Spout and Aurora Media see the opportunity to expand the E-Sports community not just for in the gaming lifestyle, but also to better harmonize the convergence of sports, gaming, media, entertainment, data and technology in the Asia-Pacific.
